'I feel like I’ve been angry for a long time. And perhaps it was the move from painting to sculpture and the physical engagement with clay that finally allowed it to erupt. Rage Be Comes Her feels like it’s been a lifetime in the making. Here I am.

Rage Be Comes Her is about female anger and its suppression. Anger is an adaptive emotion that signals boundary violation, obstruction, or both. When the expression of anger is thwarted, harm is done. Women can lose the sense of their feelings and needs. We’ve become socialised to dismiss ourselves. It leads to reduced self-protection and then exploitation. It deters us from taking action to have our needs met.

I am angry. I am so sick of women not being free from shame, violence, abuse, inequality and fear. Rage Be Comes Her is a protest, a howl of pain, a call to arms, an exhale; an expression of my anger.'
